From the moment you arrive, nothing is cookie-cutter or predictable.
Our spectacular ocean-vista site was originally home to State Senator Edward and Mrs. Bess Tickle. A great lover of flowers, particularly the pink varieties, Mrs. Tickle favored a suggestion to name their hillside stone cottage ‘Tickle Pink.’ The enchanting stone cottage has long since disappeared, but the name and its traditions happily remain. Your Carmel oceanfront hotel offers a taste of heaven that’s definitely down-to-earth.

Highway 101 north to Salinas
In Salinas proceed to Highway 68 west to Monterey Peninsula
At the end of Highway 68, proceed south on Highway 1 to Carmel
Tickle Pink Inn is located 4 miles south of Carmel just off Highway 1 (3 miles south of Rio Road)
Turn (left) off of Highway 1 onto Highlands Drive
From the North: Driving Directions from the San Francisco Bay Area
Highway 101 south through San Jose, then through Gilroy to Prunedale
Proceed to Highway 156 west to the Monterey Peninsula
Highway 156 turns into Highway 1. Proceed south to Monterey/Carmel
Tickle Pink Inn is located 4 miles south of Carmel just off Highway 1 (3 miles south of Rio Road)
