Located in the heart of downtown Monterey next to the historic Casa Munras, a Larkspur Collection Hotel, Estéban promises a unique culinary experience where guests can "sip, savor and share" Mediterranean tapas and Spanish-inspired cuisine. Gaining its name from Don Estéban Munras, the last Spanish diplomat to California, Estéban continues the Munras family's tradition of hospitality.

Serving traditional dishes with a pinch of adventure, Estéban is the ideal place for a quick lunch, a sit down dinner or socializing with friends. Whether dining on the outdoor patio, by the warm fireplace in the lounge or sitting at the bar with a fantastic view of the exhibition kitchen, Estéban's unique Mediterranean cuisine can be enjoyed for lunch, dinner or late night dining.

Estéban is located next to the historic Casa Munras hotel in the heart of downtown Monterey and is named in honor of Don Estéban Munras, the last Spanish diplomat to California. Casa Munras began as the original hacienda of Don Estéban Munras where foreign dignitaries were often entertained when visiting the Monterey Peninsula. Estéban’s honors the Munras family’s tradition of hospitality.

Throughout the Mediterranean region there is a tradition of eating small, simple plates of food to be consumed over drinks with family and friends. In Spain they call them tapas, and they can be anything from a dish of olives or a plate of cheese, to sophisticated cooked dishes. Estéban’s offers a variety of delicacies sure to please everyone.
