Randy’s Fishing and Whale Watching Trips, located on Old Fisherman’s Wharf - Monterey California, has the distinct privilege of offering fully narrated cruises for Whale Watching that place the viewer in close proximity to some of the most spectacular mammals on earth as they migrate and feed throughout the Monterey Bay.
Educational and recreational activities offered year-round with Gray Whale narrated cruises (December - March), and Humpback Whale and Blue Whale (May - November) narrated cruises. Group Charters are also available for schools, grades K-12 and college.
The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary is the United States' largest protected region that is as rich in marine life as it is in history. Located on California’s Central Coast, the Sanctuary is a prime area for observing such exotic species such as the Blue, Gray, Humpback, Minke, and Killer (Orca) Whales. Sea Otters, Sea lions, and Seals as well as a wide variety of Dolphin, Porpoise and Birds grace the Sanctuary with their presence.
Randy's Fishing and Whale Watching Trips - Monterey California, is a small family business that was established in 1949 by Salvatore (Randy) Randazzo. Randy encouraged fun, affordable, family oriented recreation with dedicated attention to honesty and satisfying his guest’s desire, a tradition that has endured 50 years.
Our Captains have been examined, Certified Competent, issued a Masters License by the United States Coast Guard and have been operating vessels to carry ‘Passengers for Hire’ through out the course of the last 30+ years.
Location
Randy's Fishing & Whale Watching Trips is located on Monterey's Historic Old Fisherman's Wharf. There are many gift shops and restaurants on the Fisherman’s Wharf. After finding a convenient place to park you will stroll past these fine establishments. Approximately ¾ of the way down the wharf at Isabella's Restaurant is a wood surfaced finger pier that turns to the right.
We are in a green building that is very clearly marked as Randy’s. The building is situated behind the Wharfside Restaurant and is visible to the parking lot. You should check in 1/2 hour before your departure time.

- Exit at Laurel Drive West
- Turn left onto Davis Road North
- Turn right onto West Market Street towards Castroville
- Exit CA-156 West towards Monterey Peninsula
- Continue on CA 1 South towards Monterey
- Exit on 'Pacific Grove' - Del Monte Avenue
- Turn right into Fisherman's Wharf
From Sacramento, CA:
- Starting in Sacramento take CA-99 South/I-5 South
- Exit I-80 West towards San Francisco
- Exit I-680 exit towards Benicia/San Jose
- Exit US-101 towards Los Angeles
- Exit CA-156 West towards Monterey Peninsula
- Continue on CA 1 South towards Monterey,
- Exit on 'Pacific Grove' - Del Monte Avenue
- Turn right into Fisherman's Wharf
