Monterey Sailing
Sailing charters are aboard a fast, racer/cruiser custom 32' Capo sloop named "Carrera" (meaning "race" or "career" in Spanish) designed by Carl Schumacher, N. A. and built by the famous custom boat builder Westerly Marine in Southern California. In her first year she has won the Mini Ocean Racing Conference title. With her current skipper at the helm she has won the overall Monterey PHRF championship in 1989. In 1994, Carrera has entered the charter business. In 2002-2003 she has undergone an extensive refit.
At Carrera Sailing we are concerned with passenger safety. Carrera is powered by a diesel engine (as oppose to our competitors who have possibly explosive gasoline engines) and exceeds US Coast Guard requirements for six passenger vessel and is equipped with radar, Emergency Positioning Beacon (406 GPS-EPIRB), two Global Satellite Positioning systems, plenty of Type I life vests, commercial grade Lifesling and VHF radio. No other charter sailboat in Monterey is as modern and well equipped!
MONTEREY BAY SANCTUARY SAILING & NATURE EXCURSIONS
1 1/2 HOUR SAILING EXCURSION - $45 PER PERSON groups of four or more $40 per person children under 12 and active military - $40 per person, six passenger maximum
From May 1 to October 15 conducted daily sailing times at 12:00, 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. From June 15 to July 31 there is an additional cruise at 6:00 p.m.
Romantic Sunset Cruise
During daylight savings only - April 1 to October 15

PRIVATE CHARTER
Carrera Sailing can provide private charters that will suit your needs: Small group outings, sailing trips to Moss Landing or Santa Cruz, birthdays, intimate weddings and Memorial Services at Sea.
Extreme Sailing: "Carrera" may be chartered for coastal or Transpac racing as well as winter trips to Mexico.
Corporate Team Building Challenge
Corporate Team Building Challenge is an excellent adhesive program for company employees. With up to six team members, each member is assigned and taught a task in approximately 45 minutes and then as a team races against other teams. The company can provide prizes for the winning team at their discretion.
With advanced notice we can provide up to 26 boats; prices depend on the vessels that are available, so please contact us for a quote.
Carrera Sailing provides US Sailing acredited and also non-accredited sailing instruction on weekends only and private lessons at any time.
