Monterey Live is a unique, intimate, 100 seat performing arts venue/nightclub/cafe located in the heart of downtown Monterey, CA. Monterey Live offers an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere for watching fabulous performers craft their art.
The original adobe has been newly expanded to include a theater-style room with a small proscenium stage and excellent, state-of-the-art, lighting and sound systems. There is no other place like it on the Monterey Peninusula. The performance offerings range from Blues to Bluegrass, Rock to Folk, Classical to Jazz and Big Band, R&B and Soul to World Music ~ not to mention the occasional Comedy act or dance performance thrown in for even more diversity. There are even occasional noon-time performers to entertain the lunch crowd or folks in to enjoy coffee drinks from the coffee bar and/or delicious dishes from the Live Wired Cafe. Monday through Friday features a 5 o'clock happy hour with live music as well as food and drink specials. Dedicated to a sense of place, Monterey Live has something for everyone morning, noon and night.
